Can I just rinse and sterilize my pump parts?
Note: If you use a dishwasher with hot water and a heating drying cycle (or sanitizing setting) to clean infant feeding items, a separate sanitizing step is not necessary. Clean first. Pump parts, bottle brushes, and wash basins should be sanitized only after they have been cleaned.
Do you need to sterilize pump parts after every use?
Although you should wash your breast pump and its parts after each use, you don't have to sanitize as often. We recommend sanitizing your parts and accessories once a day after they've been washed. As always, store your pump parts in a clean and cool place when not in use.
Can you sterilize pump parts without washing?
It is not possible to completely sterilize breast pump parts at home, even if you boil them. However, sterilization is not necessary to keep these parts safe and sanitary. You can do that by thoroughly washing away germs and bacteria with liquid dishwashing soap and warm water.
